Oman experiences warm to hot temperatures all year, with some cool breezes and even a chilly night or two over the winter season (November to March). During the summer (June to August), temperatures have been known to get exceedingly hot and it is not uncommon to reach 40°C. During this time, locals tend to enjoy a break in the city of Salalah, a hilly city with lush greenery. Salalah is the only city which experiences a monsoon-like phenomenon every year, known as khareef. Winters in Oman are beautiful, with average day time temperatures hovering around 26°C, and the cool, night time temperatures thoroughly enjoyed by the locals.
