Getting to know Fly Blue Crane

Despite the common misconception that many foreigners are lead to believe, South Africans don’t use animals as a form of transportation – just airlines named after animals, or in this case birds. Fly Blue Crane has launched as the latest local low cost carrier and has taken to the skies of Mzansi, a project piloted by former SAA CEO Siza Mzimela.

Spreading its wings across South African skies officially from the 01 September 2015, with OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg its base of operations. Fly Blue Crane routes currently include four South African cities, namely Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Kimberly and Johannesburg.
